Message In Blood

I'm delighted to announce that after contacting the Finnish Red Cross we reached a mutual agreement about a charitable purpose for my journey. I am now skating in order to promote blood donation.

Blood donation means giving some of your blood to be stored in blood banks from where it can be given to those who need it more than you do. Accident victims, people undergoing surgeries and so forth. It is my sincere opinion that if you EVER do anything that might lead you in a situation where you might need donated blood, be it downhill skating, parkour, climbing, going to the grocery store across the street or staying at home where most accidents happen, you should donate yourself.

It doesn't cost you anything and you get free coffee and sandwiches.

In Finland, the Finnish Red Cross is in charge of blood donation, as they are in Japan, USA and Australia for example. Find out where you can donate blood and do it as soon as possible.
